My name is David Rappleyea. I am a Senior Network Technician for the Fairport Central School District by day, and a wannabe “semi-professional” runner by night. Running is my passion and I giveback to the sport which has given me so much by coaching at the high school varsity level.

I began my competitive running “career” spring of 2000, my freshman year of high school, in outdoor track at Sweet Home High School. I was not very good, in fact, I sucked. Running one lap around the track was a challenge, let alone trying to race. My first race was a 100m dash which I ran in a blistering 14.xx  seconds and that season I specialized in the 200m and 800m. Imagine a 5’2″ 85 lbs white kid running those events for a good laugh. By the end of the season we figured out that I should be doing distance…

My long term goals are to break 15 minutes for the 5k, 1:09 for the half marathon and 2:25 for the marathon. For beer and glory!
