Open Women score their first win at PGXC!

Sunday, October 10th, 11:00 in the morning. Runners from different clubs across western New York were lined up on the starting line at Akron Falls park, waiting for their chance to prove their mettle. Less than thirty minutes later, the results were clear: the Roadkill Racing open women’s team had shown up and bested everyone else. The victorious squad consisting of Trisha Byler, Blair Benson (in her first RKR race), Lindsay Rynders, Shealyn Doody, and Ashlie Roberts logged an outstanding milestone as this is their first ever victory in a Pete Glavin Cross Country race.

Also running strong were the masters men, led by returning member Derrick Jones, followed closely by Dave Bradshaw, Marcus Gage, Dan Sackett, and Kevin Clark. They finished an impressive second, and the Veteran Women (Marie Davis, Martha Doody, and Val Vermuelen) were third. Congratulations to everyone who raced and helped make Roadkill Racing history! Thanks to Phil Klemmer for taking photos as well!
