Where the distances are made up and the times don’t matter!
Most of Roadkill Racing skipped the penultimate race in the USATF Niagara Grand Prix series (the Ridge Run 25K). One notable exception is Lindsay Piraino, who made the trek down to Wellsville and was rewarded for her efforts with a commanding victory over the hilly and technical trail! On the men’s side, Jonathan Garcia and Peter Budmen also ran and helped represent RKR.
The last race in the series was the final race of the best series in all the land, the Pete Glavin Cross Country series. Held in Fairport (birthplace of Roadkill Racing!), the almost-8K course provided hills, grass, and copious amounts of cold rain. As the open women already had the series win in the bag, and the masters women were cemented into their positions as well, only the open and masters men fielded teams.
The open men finished third thanks to the fortitude and strength of Aaron Nobles, Kenny Goodfellow, Brett Smith, Luke Dunkelberg, Jeremy Cook, and Phil Klemmer.
The masters men finished in fourth with the performances of Steve Hoover, Tim Dwyer, Dan Sackett, Pete Sullivan, Ohsoon Park, and Matthew Roberts.
