And the winners are…
The open women, of course! After all nine races this year, even sitting out the last two races, the Roadkill Racing open ladies won with 88 points, ahead of Checkers with 60 and Bergen Elite with 33. This improves on their second-place finish from last year, and matches their dominance from 2023. They accomplished this amazing feat by winning five of the races, and coming in second in two more. Well done, ladies!
Our open men didn’t shy away from competing, either! With six second-place showings, and two third places, they ended up finishing second in the series behind Bergen Elite. With this performance, the open men have lodged a solid second place for the last three years!
Racing isn’t just for the younglings either, as our masters teams also put forth a worthy effort. Despite very heavy competition from GVH and Checkers, the masters men managed a second place showing at Running of the Green, and third place at four other races. After all was said and done, they ended up in third place for the series.
Our masters women nabbed several second-place finishes in the first half of the year, but opted to focus on other priorities in the latter half. Because of this, they also finished in third place, but on their own terms!
On the individual side, two of our impressive women took top five in the series, as Lindsay Piraino and Trisha Byler finished second and third overall. Inga Simning, Georgia Tuttle, Katie Cobos, and Laura Galeazzo also finished in the top ten!
On the men’s individual ranking, Bergen Elite took most of the top ten, but Aaron Nobles, Jordan Brouk, and Kenny Goodfellow all finished in the top 16!
Congratulations to everyone who raced and helped Roadkill Racing this year!
