Muddy Sneaker 2022 Race Report (Marie)

Muddy Sneaker lived up to its name with there being no shortage of mud, rain and snow for the day.

The Muddy Sneaker 20K trail race was held Saturday, April 16th at Hi Tor Wildlife Management Area in Naples. John Rynders, Martha Doody, and Marie Davis ventured out on a not so auspicious day to tackle this trail race. Editor’s note: Per the website, this race features “some of the quickest elevation loss and gain of any trail run in the region. During the Muddy Sneaker it is possible that you will encounter any or all of the following hazards: rocks, roots, snow, ice, logs to crawl over, logs to crawl under, stream crossings, oversize chickens, and other wild creatures.” In other words, perfect for our resident crazy trail runners!
