Winter Race Series Results

With not one, but two, fantastic winter race series in the area now, Roadkill Racers have been busy over the past few months. The perennial Freeezeroo series was rejoined by the classic Polar Cat races, and members of Roadkill Racing competed in both.

For the Freezeroo series, our very own Chad Byler won the series handily, beating out two very accomplished runners in Phil Nesbitt and Matt Blodgett. Also running were Maria Palacio, who finished 5th in her age group, Marcus Gage, who won his age group, Ruth Shields, and Trisha Byler, who was the third female at the final race in Webster (while pushing two kids in a stroller)!

At the Polarcats, Marcus Gage drove fear into the hearts of all his competitors by finishing first or second in each race. What’s more, he nearly broke 17 minutes in the Mt Hope 5K! Todd Beverly, Marie Davis, and Martha Doody also competed in the series, finishing very well within their age groups. Marie won her age group, in fact, while Todd came in second!

Our first USATF Niagara Grand Prix race is this Saturday at the Tipp Hill 4 Miler in Syracuse, NY. We will be sending a large squad and are looking forward to a fun day of racing hard and celebrating!
